theViewergallery at The Art Shed

I have now completed theViewergallery's second event:

http://theviewergallery.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/theviewergallery-report-2.html

This was rather a different set-up, but still a one day pop-up with a new screening - of course alot of organising was involved, but it all went really well, and I had anticipated everything I might need that cropped up.

It gave me more ideas of how I will develop the shop. It has grown into two wooden fold out cabinets, with mostly theViewergallery hand-made corporate items. I am going to develop the idea into more of a metaphysical exchange project. This is something I have been tinkering about with for years, but find, yet again, that theViewergallery is an ideal arena for me to explore such ideas in practical manifestations.

The two theViewergallery events so far have involved several projects, two screenings, and setting up in entirely different venues. I hope to build up a store of more and different contexts. I am bursting with ideas for it, but must also obviously pace them, as it is all time consuming and, even on a shoestring budget, costly.

I think next time I want to bring in another artist to cocurate. That will be a new experience for me, and will broaden theViewergallery. Although this event was really worthwhile, I don't want to repeat such a venue - we were lucky with the weather, but outside has too many variables, and was physically exhausting.
