Form Frame Fracture 1

For the Form Frame Fracture project I thought I would pick up the invisible threads left from the previous Visual Enquiry project, Take Two Influences. Since these are "imposed" pieces of work, I thought it would make sense to me to continue this experimental trail. I am adding to the challenge for myself, but giving it more sense, more integration, and pushing myself further into unfamiliar territory. That seems like a good idea to me, and the thought occurs to use those elements for all subsequent MA projects, almost like having a parallel art practice. Of course, it is not something other, but it makes these ventures more experimental. I expect to come out somewhere near moving image in the end.

Also, frankly, I have quite alot to think about and work through at the moment, and don't want to introduce too many scattered directions.
So what do I have from take two influences -

- subtle and partly visible paints, or drawing on a subliminal level.
UV ink and luminous paint.

- little bags, material, with metalised threads and patterns, representative of objects within museum cases, costume, tapestry, everyday things that are now treasures.

- the museum, as a building and as a confluence of people and ideas. Years worth of tracings form people passing, all in the pursuit of culture and an internal experience.

- my own presence as an artist, participating, drawing, looking, privately, secretly, but in full view.

I quite like the brief. I tend to take words apart like that and consider many shades of meaning. The difference between this and doing my actual self generated art work is that I would already have a strong reason to choose those words, and they would already be part of a process of thinking and conclusion. Those words would have come from somewhere else, and already have brought with them other images, ideas, and reasons.

So to apply the notion of Form Frame Fracture = time = studio time = thinking.
